Bringing history to life:-

  • Giving talks to heritage groups using visual aids such as historically accurate postcards and prints painted by Graham Hodgson (South Shields History Society)

  • Helping a group to research Anglo Saxon painting techniques, creating tempera using traditional methods and tools, then using museum artifacts as inspiration to paint images on sandstone blocks (Bede's World, Jarrow)

  • Looking at the evolution of a particular area and helping a group to decipher archaeological and historical research in order to understand environmental and sociological changes and create a visual documentary of the project (Creative Partnerships, North East)

  • Roman re-enactment as a Roman artist giving demonstrations using traditional techniques, materials and equipment (English Heritage, Cohors Quinta Gallorum - South Shields, Comitatus - York)
